Oasis fans are in for a big disappointment if they were hoping to pick up the band's latest album at the local Wal-Mart. The forthcoming album, Standing on the Shoulders of Giants, has been banned from the store's shelves. MTVNews reports that the retail chain objects to the title of the first track of the album, "Fucking in the Bushes," and feels this may earn the album a parental advisory sticker.
Wal-Mart, being a family-friendly shopping environment, has a policy of not selling albums that have parental advisory stickers. Sheryl Crow and Godsmack have been subject to this censorship. Fans are going to have to get the new disc the old-fashioned way, by going to their favourite record store. Which begs the question: Who buys CDs from Wal-Mart, anyway?
