Your Guide to CMW: Weekend

It's been almost a week of very little sleep and some amazing shows. Here's our guide to the final two days of CMW!

Saturday, April 21

New wave duo Generationals are performing an 11:00 p.m. set at Adelaide Hall.

Bovine Sex Club is hosting Bovine Saturday, featuring a half dozen artists including Winnipeg trio Moon Tan (who describe their music as “intergalactic space freak rock n’ roll”), Hamilton's bluesy Hiroshima Hearts, and American glam rockers Hammered Satin. The show starts at 9:00 p.m.

Indie pop four-piece Valley are headlining a 7:00 p.m. show at the Drake Underground.

Weaves are playing Lee's Palace tonight at 12 a.m. following Casper Skulls and Vallens.

Folk rockers Sean Hamilton and John Antoniuk (AKA Smokekiller) are both performing a CMW Showcase at the Paddock. The show starts at 8:00 p.m.

Toronto rapper Probably Raymond goes on at 12:10 a.m. at the Painted Lady.

Alternative duo Parasona and garage rockers Flying Buttress are opening for The Handsome Savages at Sneaky Dee's, doors are at 7:00 p.m.

Earl Sweatshirt was set to play the Phoenix tonight however the show has been cancelled due to illness.

Sunday, April 22

Texas instrumental rockers Explosions in the Sky are playing an 8:00 p.m. show at Rebel.

For those looking for a throwback Fred Penner is holding an album release party and playing a matinee at the Lula Lounge starting at 2:30 p.m. We're hoping Word Bird will be in attendance.
