Lil B has lifted the curse on Kevin Durant

On the same day Durant joined The BasedGod's Golden State Warriors coincidentally.

- Jul 4, 2016

Maybe it was the plan all along. Five years ago, Lil B put a curse on Oklahoma City MVP Kevin Durant: because he trashed the BasedGod's rap game super skills, said Lil B, the Thunder's small forward would never win the NBA title.

The hex has proven unbreakable, the likely reason OKC blew a 3-1 series lead to B's Golden State Warriors in the 2016 Western Conference finals. Sometimes all you can do is join the dark side.

On Monday, Durant, a free agent, announced in The Players' Tribune that he will sign with the Warriors, joining All-Stars Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green (the NBA is expected to announce later today that it will forgo the 2016-2017 season and FedEx Express the Larry O'Brien trophy directly to Oakland). On the same day, Berkeley, California native Lil B welcomed Durant by lifting the curse.

Durant is now free to win all the championships he likes.

One can't really even imagine what it feels like on the wrong side of such awesome power, but we'd bet Durant's ready to give Lil B's music another chance, too. Some things just take a couple listens.
