PREMIERE: Sugg Savage dances through the streets in “Funk Bounce”

The 88 Days of Fortune singer takes a purple jaunt through L.A. It might be the most fun you have all day.

Sugg Savage is an L.A. based R&B act and member of Toronto's 88 Days Of Fortune collective, a group of forward-thinking artists who aim to push the boundaries in Toronto's underground. In December, we premiered 88DOF's mixtape They Livea collection of tracks that showcase the group's versatility. Sugg Savage's aptly titled "Funk Bounce," number 10 on the track list, now has a video to accompany it, premiering here on Chart Attack.

Sugg Savage - Funk Bounce

Directed by Unkle Luc, the dude behind Kodak Black's viral "SKRT" video, the "Funk Bounce" visuals are as upbeat and infectious as the song itself, and that's saying a lot. Savage takes a break from playing guitar and watching Superbad in her room to go for a stroll with her dog, a trip that results in some enthusiastic (and neon purple) dancing through the California streets. I'd be dancing, too; the song's energy is totally contagious.

Ultimately, Savage is being herself, completely and unapologetically, and that's what makes this video so much fun. She encourages others to do the same, singing "we don't care what colour you came in, we don't care about your zodiac sign." It's always nice to hear a message like that.

Sugg Savage's yet-to-be-titled EP is set for release later this year. Listen to the 88 Days of Fortune mixtape They Live here.
