Death is not the end if you're prolific and disorganized: Out Among The Stars is a collection of songs recorded by Johnny Cash in the early '80s and lost until 2012, when they were discovered by his son. Now we have the harrowing first video from that record, "She Used To Love Me A Lot," directed by John Hillcoat (director of clips for Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and How to destroy angels_) and a cover of a track originally recorded by David Allen Coe. Filmed over the course of the month across the economic and social devastation of the United States, the black-and-white carnival of calamity exhibits why watching the news is bad for your mind. (Also check out Elvis Costello's remix at Pitchfork.)

Johnny Cash's latest posthumous record Out Among The Stars is out March 25th via Columbia/Legacy; pre-order it here.
