On Friday Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins and wrestling set up a massive stack of synths in his Highland Park tea shop Madame ZuZu's and did an ambient "cover" of Hermann Hesse's Siddhartha for eight hours.

Oneohtrix Point Never engaged in his own generation-defining feat of endurance and live-tweeted the event's YouTube livestream, delivering a play-by-play of both what he was seeing and how he was seeing it ("damn just opened garageband by accident" was a very popular entry). It's an asinine and very interesting account of an only occasionally engaged eight-hour time frame (aka the average internet marathon).
