WATCH: Young Magic - “Night in the Ocean” official music video

Coastal landscapes and morphing geometry make up Young Magic’s new music video, the follow up to their previous, equally striking clip for “Sparkly”. Their second go at it, directed by Andrew De Freitas, departs from the clean look of time-lapses and slow motion, and goes into an abstract performance of shape and pattern – on bodies, and over nature.
The video takes foggy, spotted footage of cliffs and forests, and combines them with an intimate view of a couple applying lines and shapes onto their bodies. Not to be stopped there, random items exploding into little pieces under Young Magic's dreamy, thick soundscape provide some surprising energy to an otherwise static video.
“Night in the Ocean” will be part of Young Magic's debut LP Melt to be released next month through Carpark Records. Check out the clip below, and find more of their music here:
