If you’ve ever thought that Bon Iver’s self-titled release could use a few more womp-womp breakdowns here, or bleep-bloop explosions there, or perhaps even just taking out all of Vernon’s vocals and replacing them with the sounds of a duck, this contest might be for you. Sponsored by Spotify and presented by Indaba Music, the Bon Iver: Stems Project is a remix contest for the fans (possibly you). Bon Iver has released all of the “stems” (the name makes sense now) from their last record for the public to download and reinterpret, remix, or just listen to the little intricacies of the record, hopefully turning Bon Iver into dubstep group they were always meant to be. You win $1,000 per song, so you could potentially win $10,000 if you were really good at it.
