They might not rap about murder or rape anymore, but Tyler the Creator and Earl Sweatshirt are still pretty intimidating, mostly because they rap so well. And on July 26th, New York will be treated to the duo's first full set which promises that “The Classics Will Be Performed For First Time!” The pair will be performing at Hot 97 DJ Pete Rosenberg's birthday party that has the groanworthy title of “Peter Rosenberg Presents: A Night of Real Hip Hop.” It's worth noting that this “Night of Real Hip-Hop” also includes Asher Roth, so maybe Rosenberg should slow his role on the whole “sentinel of the genre” thing. If you're in New York or can get there, you probably should. Click here to buy tickets. Also appearing is Raekwon, and like the rest of the bill he plays hip hop and is real, not some kind of malicious spectre conjured by major label CEOs during a black mass, making him a perfect fit.
