Those guys in OFWGKTA sure do like to joke around but this
time it seems the disappearing act of Earl Sweatshirt has finally come to an
end. Last week it was reported that Alternative Intervention Models or AIM had
been with Earl in Samoa providing aid with his “rehabilitation” of habits his
mother deemed to be undesirable for a man of his age.
Here is a statement from AIM about Earl Sweatshirt’s
supposed return:
“Yes indeed, the allegedly lost and arguably most gifted
young lyrical prodigy (known for over 10 million YouTube views before age 18),
is on his way back home to Los Angeles where he will finish high school before
launching the next phase of his widely anticipated rap career—under the wizened
guidance of Leila Steinberg, artistic mentor who famously first guided music
and screen icon, Tupac Shakur.”
It’s hard to tell exactly why AIM was the catalyst to bring
the young rapper back to the west coast but it’s great news nonetheless. Tyler,
The Creator tweeted about an hour ago that Earl Sweatshirt has officially joined
Twitter (@earlxsweat) and released a teaser claiming he will premiere new music if he reaches 50,000
followers TODAY!
If all this is indeed true, welcome back Earl Sweatshirt.
Hopefully you are here to stay.
