It’s going to be another busy year for the L.A. rap
collective OFWGKTA. So busy already in fact, that this post is a roundup of
sorts of a good chunk of what’s going on in the Odd Future world in the next
few months.
The entire group itself hasn’t recorded together in quite some
time as their last collaborative mixtape The
Odd Future Tape, was released in 2008. The wait will come to an end on
March 20 as OF Tape Vol. 2 will hit
the internet featuring brand new tracks from OF cronies Tyler, The Creator,
Frank Ocean, Hodgy Beats, Domo Genesis, Left Brain, Syd the Kyd, The Internet
and Mike G. As Odd Future prepares for the release of OF Tape Vol. 2, they will head out on the road for a 10 date US
tour. Each city on the tour will also feature a screening of “Loiter Squad”
(the group’s Adult Swim show) and an Odd Future pop-up shop. The dates and cities on the tour have not yet
been released.
A few months after we get to hear OF
Tape Vol. 2 Tyler’s highly anticipated next LP, Wolf will be released. Following right
behind is a new Mellowhype album entitled Numbers.
