Despite nearing its fortieth anniversary, PBS’ Austin City Limits series is still holding up to its legacy of hosting performances from an eclectic array of talented artists, and delivering videos of those performances to the eager masses.
The delivery this week is a fifty-minute clip of Arcade Fire’s recent set. The sound quality on this stream isn’t outstanding, but our Canadian heroes are bursting with energy as they serve up hits from their award-sweeping 2010 LP The Suburbs and its excellent predecessors.
Stick around until the end to watch Win Butler unplug all the vocal microphones and hand them out to the crowd, followed by an interview with Butler, Richard Reed Parry, and Régine Chassagne, in which they discuss what they do with their spare time and the band’s future plans (or lack thereof). Video is below, but act fast — it will go offline on February 11th.
