Joel Plaskett Rarities Compilation On The Way

Joel Plaskett's had a ridiculously busy music career as a member of Thrush Hermit, with his Joel Plaskett Emergency and his solo work. Now he's releasing a special 20-track retrospective rarities compilation that tracks his career with the Emergency and by his lonesome.

EMERGENCYs, False Alarms, Shipwrecks, Castaways, Fragile Creatures, Special Features, Demons And Demonstrations comes out June 14 through Plaskett's New Scotland Records.

EMERGENCYs features tunes Plaskett's compiled from unreleased recordings, demos, outtakes, rarities and B-sides since 1999, and includes Joel Plaskett Emergency recordings along with his solo work. The tunes begin with pre-Down At The Khyber material and finish off just post-2009's Three. The songs were recorded all over the place, from Plaskett's Nova Scotia studio to London, England's famous Abbey Road Studios.

EMERGENCYs will be released as a digital download and on 12-track vinyl that will come with a CD featuring the entire album and eight bonus tracks.
