Another artist has gone on to create a music video for their Franz Ferdinand cover, featured on the band’s Covers EP. Stephin Merritt, lead singer of the prominent Magnetic Fields, has created a unique piece for “Dream Again”, which casts a bunch of electronic items singing along to the lyrics. Was this just more cost affective than hiring humans? From the volume knob on his iTunes to his vintage cassette recorder, everything has eyes and a mouth in Stephin’s kooky world.
It’s unarguable the amount of twisted, off-the-wall music videos that have been released this week alone. The difference between Stephin’s compared to, let’s say, Panda Bear’s is that the former appears to be a bit more inventive while remaining subtly cute.
