Colin Stetson’s benchmark year has included the release of
the Polaris Prize short-listed record New
History Warfare II: Judges, a critically acclaimed EP in Those Who Didn’t Run and many guest
appearances on some of the most popular albums, including the latest from Bon Iver and
Feist. The year isn’t over yet for this progressive
jazz maestro, as he unveils the music video for his EP’s title track, “Those
Who Didn’t Run”.
This Isaac Gale directed 10-minute piece includes
waterfalls, a full moon and highlighted landscapes that culminate in a video
truly made for Colin Stetson’s craft. It wields a sort of odd hypnosis that
completely entrances one to connect with the wild surges and pulsating swells
