Halifax’s pop-maestro Rich Aucoin never seems to do things half-heartedly. His latest record We’re All Dying to Live is arguably one of the most ambitious works of 2011. It may have to do with Aucoin’s astonishing collaboration with over 500 musical guests throughout the twenty-two track pop encyclopedia. Some of that progressive creativity appears to have leaked onto this new music video for the album’s single “It”.
This Noah Pink-directed piece takes you through a series of film homages, from Forrest Gump to, you guessed it, Top Gun! Each scene travels so fluently with the next, offering certain “Aucoin-ian” twists, of course.
