Deerhunter frontman Bradford Cox recently performed at the Altered Zones event in New York, under his solo alias Atlas Sound. The event, taking place at the New Museum, featured other DIY artists like AraabMUZIK and GRIMES, among others.
Below is live footage of the title track from Atlas Sound’s painfully intimate album Parallax, which has Bradford Cox (looking rather dapper) going solo with an acoustic guitar and a wide array of pedals. The rendition begins quiet, but morphs into his signature psychedelic sound collage. The visuals are provided Stephanie Wuertz, who translates his sound into a mixture of pastel colors and obscure images.
