In the second installment of Pitchfork TV’s new series Frames, Big Boi tells a hilarious story about a nightmarish experience while touring in his hip-hop outfit OutKast. With the help of some fantastic animation, we get to hear about the time that Outkast duked it out with security before getting a gun pulled on them, followed by a mid-flight death scare (and resulting blunt session).
Big Boi is expected to release his second solo album, Daddy Fat Sax: Soul Funk Crusade, sometime in 2012. His first, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, was met with critical acclaim, averaging a score of 90/100 on Metacritic.
