The Danish duo that is the Raveonettes really know how to make one feel down in the dumps. With their new video “Let Me On Out” off their 5th studio album Raven in the Grave, they make a haunting video to an already gloomy song. Guitarist Sune Rose Wagner calls “Let Me On Out” the least commercial song on the album but felt like making a video for it anyway.
“We wanted to showcase the song in a static setting to draw the listeners attention to the raw sound,” he says.
The grainy black and white close-ups of the two members resembles that of a classic Jean-Luc Goddard film. The video may be too simple but the expressions on their faces are way more involved.
