In 2009, Brooklyn-based band Real Estate stirred up a great deal of attention with their debut self-titled album. Earlier this week the band dropped their follow up, Days, which has so far been well-received (and nabbed the coveted, career-boosting Best New Music distinction from Pitchfork). Check out the standout single “It’s Real” to get a taste of the record.
The good folks at Artist Mixtapes asked Real Estate’s bassist Alex Bleeker to make an eight-song playlist. Alex obliged, and put together a great mix that includes Neil Young, Pavement, and 1980′s pop duo The Alessi Brothers (they’re twins!).
Below is the tracklist, but head to ArtistMixtapes.com to stream the mix, and read a complete song-by-song description.
