Halifax dance marvel Rich Aucoin has scored the highest mark in this year’s batch of Rock ‘N’ Roll Report Cards.
Aucoin’s Friday night set at The Garrison impressed our reviewer so much that he scored 95 per cent, which is basically a 5 out of 5 review.
It’s not the first time Aucoin’s glowsticks and parachutes-filled sets have blown our writers away, either. He scored 90 per cent at Canadian Music Week this year and was nearly there when he scored an 89 a year before.
South Simcoe, Ont.’s Indian Handcrafts took the second highest mark, grabbing a 93, while ex-Ramones bassist CJ Ramone came in third. Waterloo, Ont.’s Kidstreet ended up in fourth place with 91 per cent, while Amos The Transparent, Braids and The Pack A.D. round out the top five with a three-way tie of 90 per cent.
