That headline's the question every Wolf Parade fan must be asking themselves after a gig the band played in Vancouver on Monday, which they'd dubbed their "final show."
According to the Vancouver Sun, after playing a full set at the Commodore Ballroom, Spencer Krug announced that the show was to be the band's last "for [a] long time."
Indeed, the show was a one-off, and was announced midway through May. It wasn't the band's only gig that week, though, since they also performed at the Sasquatch! Music Festival in George, Wash. last Saturday.
Of course, this isn't the first time Wolf Parade have made comments like this. During their Nov. 28, 2010 show at Toronto's Sound Academy, Dan Boeckner announced that "Kissing The Beehive" would be "the last song we are ever going to play" before the band left the stage.
The next day, it was revealed that Wolf Parade would just be taking a "serious break" and going on "indefinite hiatus." Six months later (read: this week), they played Sasquatch! and Vancouver. So... you really never know.
At any rate, Boecker's got a busy summer ahead of him, since he's releasing Sound Kapital, another Handsome Furs album with Alexei Perry, his wife, on June 28. They're touring in support of it beginning later this month.
Krug's also keeping busy and will put out his debut solo album as Moonface. Organ Music Not Vibraphone Like I'd Hoped comes out Aug. 2.
