Canadians who were a bit bummed out that Rise Against‘s only dates north of the 49th parallel this summer were in Ottawa and Toronto for festivals will probably be excited to know the Chicago punks have announced more Canadian gigs.
Rise Against will spend a good portion of the fall supporting the Foo Fighters on a North American tour. But singer/guitarist Tim McIlrath, bassist Joe Principe, drummer Brandon Barnes and guitarist/singer Zach Blair will return to Canada in September and October to play shows in support of this year’s Endgame just after their brief jaunt with the Foos ends. They’ll have Celtic punks Flogging Molly and former Pennywise singer Jim Lindberg’s The Black Pacific with them at the Canadian dates.
Tickets go on sale June 1, with the exception of the Vancouver show, for which tickets are up for grabs the next day. Check Live Nation’s website for more information on pricing.
