The internet seems to still be acting like that pesky pipe in your basement laundry room that’s always spraying all over the place no matter how much you tighten it, soaking your basement carpet (if your basement’s finished, that is) to the consternation of both your parents. (We guess “your parents” in this case are a metaphor for the RIAA or something.)
Anyway, to the point: Bon Iver’s new album leaked on the interwebs last week, and now two unreleased Arcade Fire songs have shown up online.
“Speaking In Tongues” and “Culture War” are set to appear on the deluxe edition of The Suburbs, which comes out Aug. 2. But BBC Radio 1′s Zane Lowe premiered them on his show on Monday… and of course they were immediately all over the internet.
“Speaking In Tongues” is a slower tune that puts David Byrne alongside Win Butler and Regine Chassagne, while “Culture War” is a buzzy number that sounds like it features a mandolin but doesn’t.
