If you were wondering whether A Perfect Circle‘s recently announced reunion tour meant they’d soon be working on new material, you don’t have to ask that question anymore. The answer is yes.
But unfortunately, a new album won’t be ready any time soon, and fans won’t be able to get it before the the quintet hit the road this summer.
“We’re going to have at least one new song on the tour,” guitarist Billy Howerdell told Antimusic. “It’s very close to being done, and from there, things should come together.
“Once we’re on the road and start hashing out ideas, they could quickly become a song and make it onto the stage.
“So there’s an album in the works, but not for this summer. The idea was to get the juices flowing a bit and get back into A Perfect Circle mode, and go from there. But we do intend to record new material.”
A Perfect Circle announced earlier this year that they’d end their hiatus to head on tour this summer to play some reunion dates.
