Would you vote for a band Stephen Harper endorsed?
The newly re-elected Canadian prime minister and his wife Loreen engaged in a backstage meet-and-greet with Saskatoon’s The Sheepdogs after their Sunday night performance in Ottawa. The free-flowing, classic-rock throwback group opened for Bachman & Turner.
The Harpers reportedly wished The Sheepdogs the best of luck in their quest to win Rolling Stone‘s “Choose The Cover” contest. The competition has been whittled down to four bands and the winner gets a recording contract with Atlantic Records, a gig at Bonnaroo and, of course, the honor of gracing the cover of Rolling Stone.
This leg of the race ends tomorrow, May 13th, so cast your vote for The Sheepdogs here.
There’s no news yet if The Sheepdogs helped vote Harper back into office, though.
