If there was ever an appropriate fight-’til-you-go-down-swinging anthem for a first-person shooter game, “Not Ready To Diw,” the new track by Avenged Sevenfold, would be it.
The metalcore group have leant their freshly recorded cut to lead singer M. Shadows’ favourite video game series, the Call Of Duty franchise.
“Not Ready To Die” will find a home in Escalation, a downloadable map pack for Call Of Duty: Black Ops and Avenged Sevenfold’s typical aggro stylings will get any gamer fired up to pump round after round of ammunition into a troupe of killer zombies.
For now there’s no news on any other new Avenged Sevenfold material, but perhaps the Call Of Duty experience will lead them down the path Jesse F. Keeler has traveled and they’ll produce an entire soundtrack for a video game.
