Facial hair already looks to be in abundance at this year’s Osheaga Music & Arts Festival in Montreal.
Eels announced yesterday that they were playing the July 30 and 31 festival. After a bunch of whisperings on the interwebs (and maybe partly because of this CHARTattack story), organizers have now confirmed that, yes, Death From Above 1979 will perform at the two-day event.
“Ok enough with our silence!” the Osheaga organizers tweeted yesterday. “It’s true! DFA1979 and EELS will be playing @Osheaga! Much more to come real soon!
“
It’s not known what day Jesse Keeler and Sebastien Grainger will play yet, but you can be sure that you’re set to see a lot of beards and moustaches this July à Montréal.
Death From Above 1979 announced they were reuniting earlier this year. Their first gig in years was at this month’s South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas, and it pretty much resulted in a riot.
The official Osheaga lineup will be announced shortly.
In the meantime, you can catch DFA1979 here:
April 17 Indio, CA @ Empire Polo Fields (Coachella)
