Alright, admit it: I know when you’re racing extremely fast down a snowy slope on two skis, you’ve got some kind of heavy metal in your head.
Fine, maybe not. Skiing isn’t seen as a typically “metal” sport (your feet are strapped to two wooden or fibreglass slats, for God’s sake), but it should be. Remember that whole flying really fast down a snowy slope thing?
You need agility to do it, and at any point there’s the possibility that if you aren’t careful, you could fly headfirst into a tree or break a bone. That’s pretty metal. And consider all the Nordic countries that are amazing at skiing who have death metal bands. I have to be on to something here.
That might be why there’s a new line of Motorhead skis available. They’re being manufactured by Head USA, Inc.’s Tyrolia Winter Sports. The 94mm to 125mm (that’s 3.7 inches to 4.9 inches for you Americans) have less density from tail to tip, which means you can turn better. That’s helpful with those trees I mentioned before. (See? Skiing’s totally metal.)
The skis feature special art depicting monsters and other really awesome metal creatures. You can preview them over at Blabbermouth.
Motorhead are on the road supporting last year’s The World Is Yours. You can see them here:
