It’s already been a huge week for Arcade Fire in light of the album of the year Grammy Award they picked up on Sunday night, but now Britain thinks they’re kind of alright, too.
The Montreal indie rockers took home two BRIT Awards last night. They won the best international album award for last year’s The Suburbs, and were also named best international group. Markus Dravs, who co-produced The Suburbs with Arcade Fire, won the best British producer award.
Elsewhere, Mumford & Sons were awarded the best British album prize for 2009′s Sigh No More, Justin Bieber was declared best international breakthrough act, and Cee Lo Green and Rihanna took the best international male and female awards, respectively.
Arcade Fire were also on hand to perform at this year’s BRIT Awards, which were held in London, England’s O2 Arena. They did The Suburbs‘ “Ready To Start.”
