MuchMusic’s disBAND series has been… disbanded.
Well, kind of.
It’s more or less been turned into a new series called Discovered, which will premiere later this year. The show follows six new Canadian bands that want to get… discovered by big-shot music execs. Discovered will follow a documentary format, showing what hustling their tunes is like for these young artists.
The six bands and artists that will appear on the show are Toronto’s Nightbox, Branftord, Ont.’s Slow Motion Victory, Calgary’s For The Weekend, Montreal’s Coloursound, Aurora, Ont.’s Brighter Brightest and Winnipeg’s Brett Boivin.
Heck, we heard Nightbox the other day, and both of our editors didn’t think they were horrible! That’s saying something, considering 90 per cent of the stuff that comes into the office. So Discovered might just be worth a watch.
