New K-OS, Sebastien Grainger Song On CHARTattack

We bet you were sitting there at home on your computer (or at work — careful, make sure your boss isn't coming!) on this fine Friday afternoon, thinking about how the weekend is coming and, if you're Canadian, about how you'll have a three-day holiday come tomorrow because of some dude named John Graves Simcoe (he founded Toronto and abolished slavery in Canada, dontchaknow).
We bet images were dancing through your head of kicking back on your patio with a cold one while whatever choice record you're listening to at the moment played in the background.
We bet you were thinking it couldn't get any better than the thought of how much you were going to relish that moment.
Wrong.
It got better.
Now you can crack a cold one and put your feet up to a brand new K-OS song.
"BlackWater" features a guest appearance from Sebastien Grainger and will appear on K-OS' upcoming Anchorman Mixtape and will be posted here for all of K-OS' fans to devour. The full mixtape will come out Aug. 6.
The tune was inspired by Grainger and K-OS' recent trip to the U.S. Gulf coast, where they saw the destruction caused by the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill, which is currently wrecking havoc on the Gulf Of Mexico, its animals and those who depend on it for their livelihoods. The two shot some video, which they plan to turn into a documentary at a later date.
"BlackWater" will be released as a single along with "Faith," which features everyone's favourite bra trunk owner, Drake.
K-OS will spend this fall touring with two-time Polaris Music Prize short-lister Shad, but before then he'll head to Australia and Japan.
