Yo, nerdy hipsters! Here's your chance to win something for being a dork who likes Scott Pilgrim too much. If you remix Nigel Godrich's "Fight," from Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World's score, you could win some gear from Fender, and a session with Dan The Automator. —indabamusic.com
Diddy is apparently taking singing lessons while his Diddy Dirty Money group prepare to record their debut album. Hopefully this will not result in a Kanye West, Pt. II type Auto-Tune fiasco record. —Digital Spy
The Awl has compiled a list of Shakespeare references in songs by David Bowie, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Billy Bragg and... Marky Mark. Yep, Marky Mark.
The Smashing Pumpkins raised over $80,000 U.S. (about $83,000 Canadian) for injured Madina Lake bassist Matthew Leone at a benefit show on Tuesday. —Blabbermouth

Morrissey is against Katy Perry and Russell Brand getting married and has apparently tried to talk them out of it. Brand is friends with the former Smiths singer, and wants him to sing at his and Perry's wedding, but Perry doesn't want him there because "'We can't have a Mr. Misery like you messing things up.'" Whatever; I think Morrissey's the only one out of the three who has any sense. —World Entertainment News Network

If the last few weeks are any indication, Foxy Brown is going to end up in the news a lot more soon, and not for anything really good. She was apparently involved in a fight in the lobby of a New York City apartment building yesterday, and fled just in time before the cops arrived. Good thing, 'cause she would have gotten arrested again. —TMZ
Finger Eleven have titled their upcoming fifth studio album Life Turns Electric, and it'll be out in early October.
Hamilton, Ont.'s San Sebastian have signed with Universal Music Canada. You might remember them from MuchMusic's disBAND, on which they appeared in January. Their Tour EP will be available from the band on tour and will be for sale digitally on Aug. 24.
