If you were a fan of mid-’90s Can-rock, just read that headline, and nearly peed your pants with excitement, it’s not a joke. The Headstones really are back… but for one night only.
This may or may not be like that one chance you have to get back with that ex you always loved. It could work and turn into something more (in this case, that’s entirely up to the members of the band), or it may just be a one-off and you’ll never see each other again.
In any case, you’ve got an opportunity to see all the original members of the Headstones play on Feb. 5 at Toronto’s Sound Academy. Gentleman Husbands will open the show.
Tickets go on sale Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. ET through Live Nation. They’ll run you $30, and it’s a 19+ show. I personally can’t imagine why anyone under 19 would want to go to a Headstones show, let alone have heard of the band, but maybe that’s just me…
Headstones formed in 1987 in Kingston, Ont. and recorded five albums before splitting up in 2003.
