Everyone make sure this news doesn't find its way to Axl Rose because lord knows it'll only puff up his already over-inflated, massive ego.
The readers of MusicRadar.com have voted the Guns N' Roses main man the best singer of all time in a new poll that was released yesterday. Rose somehow managed to best both Freddie Mercury and Robert Plant in the poll. Those legendary singers came in second and third place, respectively.
When you can get more votes than both the guy who fronted Queen and Plant, both with impressive pipes (or who had, in Mercury's case, since he's dead), that's pretty serious business. But again, nobody tell Axl because it'll probably just result in even further set time delays.
Elsewhere, two Beatles made the list, with John Lennon coming in at #5 and Paul McCartney in a distant 10th place. Ronnie James Dio and Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson round out the '80s metal components to the list, taking #4 and #6. Kurt Cobain, Thom Yorke and Matt Bellamy also made the top 10.
Actually, maybe if Axl knew what people thought of him, it'd prompt him to put an album out faster next time? You can decide whether people truly need that, of course.
Here is MusicRadar's list of the top 10 singers of all time:
1. Axl Rose
