We asked a pile of our favourite musicians about their top albums of 2010. Here’s what Graham Wright from Tokyo Police Club said:
1. Born Ruffians — Say It
I think my favourite thing about this record is its minimalism. It’s a damned brave choice to live and die on the strength of the songs without any kind of dressing up, but Born Ruffians are more than up to the task. There isn’t a song on this record that’s less than fantastic, and the best songs are so outrageously good that they make me want to give up making music and go live in the woods or something. —Graham Wright
2. Vampire Weekend — Contra
3. The National — High Violet
4. Arcade Fire — The Suburbs
5. Aidan Knight — Versicolour
