If you hate KFC but have been craving fried chicken lately, we have just the thing for you:
Public Enemy’s Flava Flav will launch FFC —Flav’s Fried Chicken — his own line of fried chicken, sometime next year. In January, a special brand of Le Flav Spirits, featuring cherry, berry, olive, tea, bubblegum and grape vodkas will be available. Flav’s own cognac and wines will also soon be on the market.
As far as that fried chicken goes, Flav says it’s amazing.
“The Colonel better watch his back, G!” he told The Quietus. “The Colonel might end up in my fryer!”
Public Enemy will be in South Africa for some shows soon, and while they’re there they’ll hold workshops for African hip-hop artists.
“We have a firm belief that that entire continent… this music belongs to those people and they do the music for a whole bunch of different reasons and we don’t want to see the continent get co-opted out,” Flava Flav told the website.
“We want to create a coup of sorts to snatch the base of hip-hop and rap music away from the United States corporations and feed it right back to the motherland.”
