Performing live sure is hell for Ryan Adams. Just as the musician was wrapping up a set during a show at Liverpool’s Royal Court Theatre last night, the rocker unexpectedly took a six-foot plunge off the edge of the stage, breaking his left wrist in the fall. Proving to be quite the little trooper (or, as the case may be, masochist), Adams climbed back up with the help of fans and tried to finish up the show. It quickly became apparent that Adams was unable to go on as he left the stage clutching his arm in pain. According to fan reports on NME.com, after the singer left the stage, his drummer announced that Adams had just broken his wrist and that the show was over. A news release posted on his official website reports that Adams was looking up while singing and failed to see the edge of the stage. After ending the performance Adams was rushed to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital where he was treated for a fracture to his wrist. According to an Associated Press report, Adams will visit a specialist in London today to have his wrist examined. How the incident will affect the rest of Adams’ tour is still up in the air. Adams has been on the road for the past couple months to support his newest release, Rock ‘N’ Roll and his two EPs Love Is Hell Pt.1 and Love Is Hell Pt.2. —Karolina Rous
