City Sonic is a cross-platform series of 24 short documentaries in which Toronto artists discuss the venues where they started their careers.
In this episode, Serena Ryder talks about the isolation she felt when she moved to Toronto from Peterborough, Ont., playing shows at The Communist's Daughter and eventually moving on to The Dakota Tavern. By that point, she finally felt like she was part of a community.
