Last night, as well as some of the day before it, Four Tet did an eight hour mix on Rinse FM (listen to the first two hours below). At some point during the marathon, he played an untitled, previously unreleased collaboration with Burial, noting casually that the pair “never got around to releasing it.” Isn't that a beautiful thing? He's probably been so locked-in on his just-released new album Beautiful Rewind that he's completely out of step with the desires of his fan base. It takes a special kind of dedication and talent to be so absorbed in your own work, you forget about something you made with Burial. Think of the track as a clubbier B-side to last year's fecund “Nova.”
Stream that and the mix below, along with Hudson Mohawke's remix of “Parallel Jalebi,” originally premiered on Australia's triple J. It's a good day for radio rips.
