“Prinzif” from Huerco S. is Twilight Zone techno baked in a sauna's worth of hiss, and played in your memories of wherever the thought monsters were hiding. Sections that were dropped out moments ago are brought back and recontextualized like old ideas fished from the garbage. The tense runs thick, masking itself with a leisurely stroll while slowly building it feverishly with every rejoining drone, like the whines of old concrete and fading steel. Colonial Patterns is out September 24th via Software Recordings; Heurco S. will be performing at the MoMA PS1 warm-up in Queens on September 8th.
