Hooray For Earth have uploaded a cover of Bear In Heaven‘s “Lovesick Teenagers” that doesn’t sound much like either band. Recorded in 2009, garage rock stomp and snarl bats away the original’s comparative synth-y delicacy, drifting in and out of a perfect lo-fi haze that sounds like a dusty old radio’s growled over the guitar lines. But Noel Heroux’s track is more bracing than aggressive. It’s one or two shots of whiskey rather than a whole bottle that’s smashed over the head of your troubles.
