[listen] Factory Floor – “Fall Back”

Like a club with rooms for industrial, disco, and noise, Factory Floor’s “Fall Back” handles stylishly handles its influences, and is at its best when they start to blend together. It’s just as impossibly dancey as anything that fellow noise-punks HEALTH have created, and has the same flair for chilly and disconcerting elements, like a hollow, laser-sighted bass over studio drums, and the dissolving, shifting vocals, as plainly emotionless as a strung-out robotic telemarketer, hypnotic and vaguely familiar. The soundtrack for getting stoned and wandering around inside some mid ’90s rendering of the Internet. You know the kind I’m talking about.
