The xx‘s “Chained” has been given a dance-y remix from producers John Talabot and Pional, who brings in the melody from The Streets’ “Blinded By The Lights,” probably one of the best rap tunes of the decade and an icon of sad club music. Perfect pairings don’t come much easier than this: the sample along with some rattling percussion reconfigures “Chained” into something that can make you dance even over Romy Madley Croft’s ghostly echoes of “We used to be closer than this.”
