Recycle Culture understands the language of trance. Like any brilliant interpretor, he knows how to convert the idiosyncratic beauties of a phrase into a corresponding joy in the new, often totally different genre. His remix of Andy Stott's “Leaving” takes a lush and melancholic ambient sigh, and makes it a lush and melancholic trance tune. Two songs different in how they sound, but not what they mean. Recycle Culture never loses control of the song's essence, stacking oscillating and ghostly synths with porcelain piano keys and crashing drum loops, just as every trance song should have. And while you can dance till you collapse if you want to, it'll never stop feeling like you're waving goodbye to something.
