Little Dragon‘s sweet electro is made for skipping down a mostly empty street, when you’re elated enough not to mind the stares of the punters. But Shlohmo‘s brooding remix of “Sunshine” displaces the track to decidedly more sinister locales and frailer mental states. The song’s polka dot-sincere disco pop collides with the grim subby crypts of Shlohmo’s dank production, an unholy union that gives the bright vocals a demented edge. Listen below.
