Dirty Projectors just released the brief, supremely pretty “While You’re Here.” The band’s ear for strange and soulful melodies takes center stage, stripping everything down to just two elements: David Longstreth’s elastic vocals and a whole mess of string instruments that caper about unpredictably, much like the fantastical lyrics. It’s something that could have been composed by a king’s bard that was sick of writing about victorious battles and wanted to try something inspiring in a different way.
