Chris Reimer – The Chad Tape

With the passing of Women guitarist Chris Reimer in February of this year, the Calgary born musician left behind a small, but illuminating body of work. Before his death, Reimer was working on solo material with fellow friend/producer Chad VanGaalen, though the results of their collaboration were cut short. Now the pieces of their friendship have been compiled in The Chad Tape, a beautiful mix of ambient and droning guitars, which you can purchase at Chris Reimer’s bandcamp. The proceeds of the tape go to the Chris Reimer Legacy Fund, an organization dedicated to providing scholarships for children in music and dance education.
