From the first chord that rings out on Grizzly Bear’s latest song “Yet Again,” you can hear a different band emerging.There are hints of Veckatimest (something like “While You Wait for the Others”), but this is a far cry from the experimental chamber pop of Yellow House. Grizzly Bear sound like a full-fledged rock band here, branching out to create something that’s immediately satisfying, but still incredibly nuanced and layered in its composition. The flecks of rattling organ, splashes of percussion and Ed Droste’s melody wistfully carry the up-tempo track into its distorted carnival-esque ending that winds down in a flurry of cacophonous noise. Simply put, it’s amazing.
