Action Bronson’s pretty high up on my list of rappers I’d like to hang out with. He’d teach me a lot about good food and rap, crack a lot of un-PC jokes, and pass out at like 2 just when the night is ending, before it gets awkward. Odd Future’s Domo Genesis lives out yet another one of my dreams with his new track “Elimination Chamber,” enlisting Bronsolini, along with OF affiliate Vince Staples, and rap’s newest young mogul Earl Sweatshirt, who might only be 19 but could end you with a phone call, probably. Domo’s getting progressively better, sounding more confident and assured in his declarations of superiority, and Earl’s verse is packed with menacing, airtight metaphors, like a fresh-ass sarcophagus. Bronson’s verse is a standout, shifting from food punchlines to graphic sexual acts to startlingly original brags in seconds, all over a smooth, hazy beat from the Alchemist that’s like cruising with the top back on a convertible on a humid night.
